An Introduction of Lumbini International Research Institute:
The Lumbini International Research Institute Building was constructed with the grant assistance of the Reiyukai Headquarters in Japan and was graciously inaugurated by the then King of Nepal His Majesty Birendra Bir Bikram Shah Dev on February 6, 1996.
Objectives:
The Lumbini International Research Institute aims at helping the visiting scholars to carrying on their research study by making them available archaeological materials and original manuscripts relating to Buddhism. The Institute has a collection of valuable materials for the use of the scholars interested in research on Buddhism. Residential and other physical facilities are also available for the scholar to carry on their research smoothly.
